It has been our experience that Borago officinalis performs well in our area in both warm and cool season plantings. Although we observed it do poorly after a sudden cold snap, we have found it do well in both warm and cool season plantings when the temperatures have changed gradually. We have found it to do best when planted in spring or fall. It reaches about two feet in height.
